The Alcala Norte Hotel (Madrid)
The problem: The Hotel Alcala Norte wanted more efficient and sustainable water usage in its showers and basins/sinks.
The solution: The basins were fitted with the M24 tap which provides a water flow of 5 litres per minute and the showers were fitted with Showersmart which also maintains waterflow at 5 litres per minute.
The result: Water consumption has dropped by an estimated 58% in the showers and by 38% in the basins. Además, al consumir menos agua, se necesita también mucha menos energía para calentarla. A lower volume of water can be heated with much less energy so there is a double saving on both water and power.
The hotel chain is currently conducting tests and measurements on other hotels with the aim of repeating these savings across the group.
The Pio XII Hotel
The problem:
The Pio XII Hotel wanted to make the water usage in its showers more efficient and sustainable.
The solution: The Showersmart model that maintains waterflow at 5 litres per minute was the chosen product to solve this problem.
The result: Water consumption will drop by 50% in the showers with a corresponding drop in energy consumption as so much less power will be required to heat the reduced volume of water A lower volume of water can be heated with much less energy so there is a double saving on both water and power.
