The problem: Micampus wanted to be more sustainable in the management of its university halls of residence, saving both water and energy. We undertook a pilot study in one of its halls of residence in Valencia.

The solution: Once the operator saw how well our products worked and how much water and energy they were saving, they decided to move ahead with 25 of their halls of residence in order to gain certifications for a number of different sustainability regulations. The choice for the handheld showers was the Showersmart of 5 litres per minute while Tap M24/M22 – also with a flow of 5 litres per minute – were selected for the taps in basins and sinks. Connect (also 5 litres/minute) was the option for the plumbed showers with both fixed roses/showerheads and handheld extensions.

The result: Water consumption in the showers, basins and sinks has dropped by between 40% and 70% – and since some of this water is hot, energy consumption has dropped too.
