The problem: the hospital wanted to improve the efficiency and environmental impact of its water usage in both showers and sinks.
The solution: The M24 tap provided the answer for the basins/sinks, reducing the water flow to 5 litres/minute. All the hospital showers are of the hand-held variety so the ideal product proved to be Showersmart with a 7.8 litre/minute flow.
The result: Water usage is estimated to have dropped by more than 60% and, since less energy is required to heat the reduced volume of water, the savings are financial as well as environmental.
